Pay-as-you-go credits
Email Verification
Finding an email on a website is discovery. Confirming the mailbox accepts mail is verification. ProspectChief keeps the two apart so you only pay for certainty when you need it.
- One balance across products
- Pay per address checked
- Works with or without a Pro plan
Domain intelligence (included)
MX records and provider detection tell you whether a domain can receive mail and which provider runs it — fast, and included with every plan. Mailbox verification goes one step further and checks the individual address.
Mailbox verification (credits)
Checks the specific address and returns one of four results. Fresh results are reused — you are not charged twice for the same address within the freshness window.
| Result | Meaning | Charged? |
| Valid | The mailbox accepted the check. | Yes |
| Invalid | The mailbox was rejected. | Yes |
| Catch-all | The domain accepts every address, so this mailbox cannot be confirmed individually. | Yes |
| Unknown | The server did not give a usable answer (timeout, greylisting, policy). | No credit is consumed for excluded or invalid requests per the documented rules |

FAQ
Can I verify from inside the Maps extensions?
Verification runs in the dashboard on saved businesses and projects (bulk or per project). Guest collection and free export stay usable without verification.
Are locked Free-plan emails verifiable?
Verification runs on revealed emails. Locked emails are left out of verification estimates and are never charged.
Do credits expire?
See the terms and refund policy for the current rules on credit validity and refunds.
